About the Book "Half of Me" is an odyssey of understanding, in which an eight year old boy named Chip Kadiddle, through an imaginative vision of himself, develops a unique and perceptive understanding of what it's like to be physically challenged, and in the process learns to look at his friends with a clearer vision. The book is sensitively written and beautifully and imaginatively illustrated in full colour. The theme teaches older children and young adults humility, respect for others, tolerance, understanding and compassion. With its bright colours, poetic style and universal theme, along with its unusual perspective "Half of Me" is sure to be not only interesting and thought provoking but educational as well.

About the Author William J Bart
William J. Bart has been a graphic artist, illustrator, and avid photographer for over forty years who enjoys writing and illustrating children's books, with a difference. He is inspired from many sources, and endeavours to tell a story, that is not just entertaining, but also a worthwhile educational experience for the child, and in some instances for the parent or adult reader as well. He was born in Hamilton, Ontario and is currently a resident of Caledonia Ontario, since the year 2000, where he also sells his photographs in the form of framed matted art prints and archival prints on canvas. Other books from the author of "Half of Me" include "Wibby The Peanut Butter Rat" and "A Children's Woodland Tale", which he is currently illustrating, at the time of this printing. Also written and yet to be illustrated is "Jenny's Roses." This whole creative process started when William's granddaughter Julia at the age of seven suggested to him after hearing one of his entertaining little stories that he should be writing children's books. It was with those few innocent words, that it all began.
